I knew she did right. I knew that the person who wrote it has a point. I knew that somehow, she knows what's good for her and she just did the only thing she thought was the best thing to do: Let the confusion be heard.
I was an early bloomer back in elementary years in my beloved alma mater. At grade five, cupid already started playing games on me. (Err, it was just a thought..ehehe) I was inlove with a boy who just noticed me because someone told him that I looked like his older sister and voila! he sent me letters and keychains and that was it, we're a couple. It was nothing serious because we never talked. Everytime we'll walk passed each other, he never greeted me, nor looked at me and neither did I! But it did worked out for almost four years. It coped up through love letters and relaying messages through friends and relatives. It was pure bliss. And I believed it would last forever.
Even at that kind of situation in a relationship, people close to me never failed to comment about us. I remained silent because I always think that even if I explain, they still have the stand on what they think about me, so it would be useless to explain. I always suffer in depression. I just tuck myself in the middle of my bed and the wall and cry to my heart's content until I fall asleep. I write every frustration and heartache to my family in my journal. I never speak out. I never got the chance to defend myself. I was a coward. I was a loser.
Hmm.. so you think you already got my point? Well, it's just that I really look up to "Kriz H.". She was brave enough to show her feelings. Inspite of what others may say, she had my head nodding..;) What she wrote in her shoutout made an impact to the person who'll definitely react if her daughter at 15 is already in a relationship with a boy you wouldn't want your 'princess' spending her life with...(you know what I'm sayin'?) But then she is in love. And she believed in love. She is convinced that a particular guy makes her happy. And that is what she had done that I regret doing in the past, and I admire her for having the courage to stand for the person you love.
BUT...
I was also hurting. Because now, as a mom, I can't imagine the feeling of hearing (or even reading..) that your 'princess' is accusing you of stealing her happiness away.
To wrap it all up, what's the best thing that a teen could do is to "chill". Don't make it hard for you because the feeling or the deed will always have a domino effect: it will be transferred to another person, and to another, and another and another... That's why in my case, me and my mom weren't close when I was in elementary going to HS because it seems that I'm making things complicated by not saying anything and being so exasperated within. That is why It's really okay to blurt things out, but then, be responsible for every word that comes out of your mouth. Being in love is one of the greatest feelings in the world. But it's not all about having someone, it's all about growing with someone. You'll just know if he's The One if everything falls out into the right places. There's the spark, there is magic. Listen to mom. Let her be your bestfriend. Mom always knows best, and I'll bet my ass for that! With her, you'll know...^^

I don't care what he does or what he looks like. Just pray always and God will pave a way if you too are really meant for each other. Only God knows whose your soul mate.
