"Forget about Susan Boyle,and embrace the charm of Danyl Johnson!", these are the words whom many people have said right after watching the audition for X Factor 2009. Even Simon, the judge whom seems to smirk to almost all of the aspiring contestant, had commented on Danyl Johnson's performance as the best he had ever seen since he became a resident judge of 9 years for this kind of shows. I quickly browsed the net to find how Danyl Johnson took all the yeses of the judges and how people wants to forget about Susan Boyle for him. Oh well, I am a fan of Susan Boyle's superb voice but she's in a not so nice packaging but then,she managed to transform beautifully which I actually blogged about H E R E. Moreso, after I watched the audition video of Danyl Johnson, I definitely knew what made Simon salute Danyl. He's a natural born performer! And that's the essense of it...=)
Danyl Johnson is a 27 year old teacher who knocked the audience to their feet when he sang "With a Little Help of my Friends" by Beatles and yes indeed he made a very nice revival!=) I surely lurve the way he interacts with the audience. Danyl Johnson is so charming that even if he doesn't had a unbelievable voice like Susan Boyle, he sings in a different enchanting way. It made me realize, there's a lot of people who sing beautifully but there are only few who can perform like Danyl Johnson did. Come to think of it, isn't it awful to watch vocalists who sing nicely in a band but doesn't move nor interact with the audience? I can clearly remember how my brother's band had a vocalist who only do his thing and gets out of the stage right after he's done singing,as if he can't wait to finish the song. Oh well, no doubt that that vocalist really has a beautiful voice, almost the same with Yael Yuzon of Spongecola and is actually good looking too. But then, their vocalist is not a people person so he's so shy to chat with the audience. On the other hand, my drummer bro was the one talking to the crowd before and after their set. So when little bro decided to form a better band after high school, he became the vocalist and did what his former bandmate was lacking of. Fortunately, the crowd loves it, specially the girls so they're making a name now in Cebu, as the Sacre Core Band under the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. For those who wanna ask, yes, he is in the seminary.=)
Going back to Danyl Johnson, he would surely get my vote for him to be UK's new sensation for X Factor but, hopefully, he will not do the same thing over and over again. I am expecting to be surprised of his awesome tactics as the show goes on. Well Danyl, if ever you'll got the chance to read this, I hope you'll keep on surprising us and you won't overdo any act. But then I guess you already know how to do it. Being a teacher and a natural born performer, I guess you knew what everyone is expecting on a rising star like you.=)

@vonfire yup, yup, napa-standing ovation nga si Simon. And it's so enchanting to watch yung rxns ng mga judges..its like someone is flirting with them... and kyut!=) hahay, i'll be waiting for his next performance.
