I became a fan of Definitely Filipino on Facebook earlier today and I immediately noticed their recent post which shared a URL where the petition to oust the popular noontime talk show host of ABS-CBN, Wowowee, Willie Revillame can be seen. The petition intrigued me which made me visit the site to view the letter for the ABS-CBN Management, MTRCB and PANA. It says there that on August 3 (2009), the cortege of our late President Corazon "Cory" Aquino appeared on the screen while the show is currently playing the game "Willie of Fortune". Stated there is that Willie made a rude remark after the contestant finished dancing. (You can click H E R E to view the letter.) I wasn't able to watch Wowowee last Monday so I searched for the ever popular Youtube Sensation who expose Willie and his show's scandals, Even Demata on YouTube. More so, I did not fail.
After watching this clip from the popular Even Demata, I don't think Willie disrespect late Pres. Cory Aquino on his remarks. I guess, what he really wants to say is that he cannot stand making people laugh while the wake of President Cory Aquino is also being shown on the screen. Knowing that he and Kris Aquino is so close (close enough that he chose her to substitute in his show while he was sick), Willie Revillame is also human to feel sympathy for Kris. A lot of people could be right when Revillame blurted out On Cam. But what made Revillame loved by many is his being tactless and all. The same as with Kris Aquino, ayt? Some even ask for Kris Aquino to comment about it and agree to oust Willie for "disrespecting" the wake of her mother, as if wanting to ignite a fire between Willie Revillame and the Aquino Family.
I am not a fan of Willie nor an avid viewer of the show, Wowowee. But I do watch Wowowee and even Eat Bulaga. I do not agree too with the harassing motives of Willie Revillame to contestants, co-hosts, dancers or guests, but with this issue, if he disrespect the President with his tactful remarks, Nah, I don't think he did. The issue here would be between Willie Revillame and ABS-CBN Management. Do they really allow such remarks on the mistakes of the ABS-CBN staffs be completely announced on TV? It made me think that they are hiring idiot people who cannot understand the difference between Willie's program with the mournful atmosphere of President Cory Aquino's wake. But it also made me conclude that Willie Revillame is so superior and fearless that he did not even wait for the queue and just blurted it all out On Cam. Kayo-kayo lang din ang nagsisiraan sa loob ng network. Its not a good thing for ABS-CBN's credibility. They should have employees working professionally and even tactful, they should know where and when to stop the talking.
There's a lot of issue on Willie Revillame that they should put more focus on. Then maybe if they try, they might really win the petition greatly supported by many. But still, nothing is for sure. There are a lot of people whose lives have been touched by Willie Revillame. Simple people who doesn't know how to critic but knows how to laugh. People who are made happy even for a couple of hours everyday with Willie's tactics on his show. Little act of kindness Willie Revillame had shown to individuals which is far too big than his faults when accumulated. So to ask whether this petition to oust Willie Revillame would be a success or a failure, well I can say, only the bosses will know.

i don't think Willie had RUDE intentions in uttering those words. He was just being true to himself and yea, he was just doin' his job. Also, he was definitely right when he said that Pres. Cory will be happy if the people are happy. Let's also consider that Pres. Cory will truly be at peace if she will see the Filipinos happy and fighting.

sorry guys,but i watched the show last aug 3,and i commented as what willie said before he said that on air.. i told my sister *bkit isinasabay n ipalabas yan sa wowowee? anong papanoorin ng tao nyan? ung pagdala kay pres.cory sa manila cathedral o ang wowowee??* and then after the talent portion of one of the contestants willie say it.. so i guess nothing`s wrong with what willie said.. its his opinion,were in democratic country,freedom of speech was applied there... right??
Maraming issue si willie especially sa show nya kung paano minsan sya magsalita sa mga dancers, or mga crew members nang show dapat naman sana konting respeto lang dahil minsan wrong choice of words nya. I know na kaibigan nya ang mga Aquino but sana man lang eh naghintay sya na mag commercial man lang at duon na lang nya sinabi sa mga crew nya. Kaya ngayon eto na naman may bago na naman siyang issue. Hindi ako magugulat one of this days eh mapagsabihan siya nang mga boss nya. Willie konting ingat sa pagsasalita baka ikabagsak mo yan ulit.

i am a tfc subscriber...i love ABS network and i watched most of their shows pero iisa lang ang di ko nagugustuhan ay yong isang tao named willie revillame...its true na maraming may gusto sa kanya pero i can not stomach the way he treats the contestants pag di nya type...pag type nya...pinapahiya lagi si owen...very arrogant sa mga crew....mayabang...kami dito sa area namin solid kami sa abs but if you dont do something about this guy malamang i boycott namin ang tfc...please do something...he needs to be reprimanded...ABS does not deserve to be punished dahil lang sa isang tao na ito...

in some way, willy has a point.. but in his little ways, it was rude! VERY RUDE to blurt in public. he is carrying the name of an ABS show! he should have just spoke with the staff & crew about it and NOT ON-AIR! he has a point, we are there. but he should have stopped the show & offered a minute of silence for a prayer... but instead.. he needed to say all those words as if showing off.. tsk tsk..

actually I get willie's point, ang sa knya lang siguro ay it's very very inappropriate to show the wake of president cory habang nagkakasaya sila. Hindi sa pambabastos ang ginawa niya it's just that he can't stand to keep the smiles when he sees and he knows that the people mourns to see the wake.

That's my side on the incident but about Willie mismo, Ive seen him in person when I was in college kasi nag studio tour kame sa ABS, all I can say is, may pagka misbehave sya towards girls/dancers nya and other things that I dont want to elaborate.

At first, I really like Willie the way he handle people especially kapag napapatawa niya.. But later on, ang bastos niya pala.
Second, many of the mistakes he made.. but, ang dami pa ring naniniwala sa knya.. he's kinda a stupid moron. so sorrry!.. but he's not a good example for me.

I don't like Willie but I love WOWOWEE. I know that Willie meant something good rather than being rude when he said those words. But of course, tayo kasing mga FILIPINOS grabe maka-react kaya lahat na lang may ibig sabihin na masama. it's true that what Willie did was not rude really, but sometimes his actions are just not for media... showing his "bossiness" is not really something watchers want to see... I have watched this episode and felt sorry for him as I was sure that there will be an issue for that.

I agree with majority of people here. Willie Revillame is a disgrace to the Filipino community. He has no respect for the contestants, his staff and all his viewers. I couldn't stand the show while he was hosting as of now I'm actually able to watch it again. Mr. Revillame you are in bad taste, so please everybody sign a petition online to oust this guy from performing on TV again.
