Happy Birthday to Me!

My strawberry Mer-Nel's cake, all the way from Los Banos, Laguna!

We dined in our all time favorite resto, Pizzahut to celebrate my special day with my family. I was actually too lazy to cook for everyone so I just managed to take them out and window shopped. I am not feeling well for days now, so I did not bother to celebrate it the way we were used to. The time was mostly consumed on the road since we're stuck in a traffic but it's much better for me than to be stuck at home and feelin so sick and helpless on my birthday. wink*

Thanks everyone! IT WAS SIMPLY FUN! =D Til next year! =D
There's no place like home...:)

"Kamay ni Hesus" in Lucban, Quezon

Yey! I'm back! haha

It's been half a month since my last entry because I've been busy for so many reasons a mom has to attend to. But anyway, I would love to update my online diary now, not only for my lovable readers but also for myself.

The start of the month was very hectic since my uncle came home from Guam and commemorate the death of our lolos and lolas on All Saint's Day with us together with his family. We had a 2-day bonding galore and the highlight of our holiday getaway was our trip to Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban Quezon.

The shrine of Kamay ni Hesus is located on the slopes of Mt. Banahaw, Barangay Tinamnan, Lucban, Quezon. Its church where celebrates healing masses everyday at 10am. In this site is a 292-steps hill with life size figures depicting the 14 Stations of the Cross, and on the top is a 50-foot statue of Jesus Christ that is said to be the third biggest in the world.

It was very tourist friendly to go to Kamay ni Hesus since we arrived there smoothly and hassle-free. From here in Calamba, we had a 3hour ride from 7am to 10am. Actually, we just search the net for instructions on how to get there and it was all a bliss. =) From Calamba, we passed by Los Banos, Bay, Pila, Sta. Cruz, and Pagsanjan. Then in Pagsanjan, you must pass to the towns of Cavinti and Luisina before finally arriving at Lucban Quezon. And upon arriving Lucban, Quezon, you can see the huge statue of Jesus Christ from the road so you'll never get lost.

The experience was indescribable. It was ecstatic and fulfilling but frightening. I also realized I do really have vertigo. But then, I was happy. I've reached the top with Daddy Mike and Baby Jian. Well, Jian's lolo Chokoy helped Daddy along the way. I really recommend Kamay ni Hesus not only for pilgrimage but for visiting Him on any day you can.

Rev. Father Joey Faller, spiritual director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Philippines and founder of the Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church visualized the church to give the sick and the spiritually weak a haven where they could feel and experience the presence of God. If you want more details on the place e-mail Fr. Joey at fatherjoey@kamaynihesus.com or call his office in Lucban at (011-6342) 540-3085 or 0917-853-6267 or just visit its homepage www.kamaynihesus.com Read More on this Mumbling...
