I Salute Manny Pacquiao as a Boxer and as a Person

Many says that a person's real color can be seen as he plays. If he plays dirty, then he really has a crappy character, but when he plays just and fair, then he really has a golden heart. As I witnessed Manny Pacquiao's fight with Antonio Margarito in Cuneta Astrodome last Sunday, my respect to our Pambansang Kamao gained a major increase. I bow to what he said on the spot that : "Boxing is not for killing each other". A rubbish person won't think about saying it in a snap after being punched for a lot of times. Right then and there, I was convinced that Manny Pacquiao deserves all the respect, love and admiration from us, Filipinos, and the rest of the world.

We were cheering our hearts out with everyone else inside the astrodome. It's my first time actually to watch Manny's fight together with a large crowd. It was way too different than watching it in front of the PC at home. After the last wild card, the huge crowd started to cheer for Manny. It is as if we were at the Cowboys Stadium! Every punch that Manny releases was accompanied with Whoas and Yeahs inside Cuneta Astrodome. Hubby and me were laughing every time. But also, each time Pacman receives combination punches from Margarito, the crowd becomes static, then the guys swear and the girls put their palms over their eyes(just what I did...hehe). But as round 12 becomes nearer, and the fight is becoming more favorable of Pacman, the people inside astrodome were enliven. The Filipino Spirit has been becoming more intense. The Filipino Pride has been becoming more visible.

Mommy Dionisia's loss of consciousness after announcing Manny's victory, on the other hand, is a different story. Me as a mom, is sure to be suffering with the same emotional turmoil if I'm seeing my son being beaten. A few commented on how O.A. (Over Acting) Mommy Dionisia was. I am sure, those who said that are not Moms. Those who said that do not have a motherly heart.

Congratulations Manny Pacquaio! Filipinos are very dignified for having you. You did an splendid job. Margarito also offered a great fight. We are honored enough for your 8 World Titles. Fighting with Mayweather is not a big deal anymore. You already prove you caliber as a boxer and your stature as a person. We love you Manny! Pagaling ka. =)

I am not a boxing fan. But I just don't know what makes me watch Pacquiao fights since the very beginning. Maybe because the feeling the fight brings to me, or better yet to say, to the rest of the Filipinos. =)

Manny will be fighting again this November 14, 2010 with Margarito. As we always pray before he starts the fight, Filipinos are hoping for him to win. Manny Pacquiao brings pride to us Filipinos that every punches and jabs he does are like us having a fight too in the boxing arena. Manny keeps my adrenalin on its peak in every fight. I support the world's #1 boxer, just like Head & Shoulders, the World's #1 Shampoo!

Nuffnang and Goldilocks' Bloggers Event 2010

And the day we were all waiting for came. =)

We arrived minutes before the Nuffnang team arrived. hehehe Were we really that excited?! Hahaha Well, we actually bought Herbalife products in Makati hours before the call time so off we went to Shaw Boulevard right after the transactions. My kid was excited as ever because he loves cakes! And since the team were still setting up, we ordered a Bubble Pop, Goldilocks' new product, and assorted pulvoron for him since we were expecting a sumptuous dinner just like their first Nuffnang and Goldilocks' Bloggers Event last 2009. And as what we anticipated, they never failed us. =)

We still did not win, but our hearts we're happy to know the winners really do deserve the prizes. I am moved and inspired with the IPAD winner, Kcat, so we tried our luck if she'll agree to take pictures with us. And like what she is, her parents are welcoming, friendly and nice, her father even volunteered to take this shot.=)

Goldilocks' also provided me and hubby with DYC (Do Your Cake) kit. I did mine as Jian requested for a heart design. It wasn't good so me and hubby agreed to do better with our second kit. But when we already opened the mamon, Jian cannot help to eat it!hahaha We happily let him to, setting aside the prize we could get if we'll win. Looking my kid eat his heart out is more than winning any great prizes in this world.haha Look at his pics. I also can't help to take shots!

We also met Eddie Mendez, the actor in Magkaribal who plays the part of Mark Laurel. Here's his pictures with my son..hahha My son isn't still aware that he's taking a pic with a showbiz personality. hahaha Isn't my son so adorable?? =))

We really enjoyed the fun-filled night and we'll be looking forward again for their next year event. I so loove Goldilocks! And the Nuffnang team, they never changed. Still welcoming, friendly and approachable bunch of people just what I met since my very first blogger event. Thanks Goldilocks! And More power Nuffnang! =D
