My soul was thirsty. It's been years since my thirst was quench with a very nourishing sermon of the Word of God. When I was still hearing all the Good News from the Salesian School I was in when I was in High School, I was never thirsty. In fact, I never get thirsty at all. Our everyday good day talk seems to water us just like plants well-taken cared of. But when I entered college and then started to have a family of my own, I always wanted to be drenched of His good news.
Just like me and hubby's parents, we work hard not to miss our Sunday obligation of hearing the mass. We also vowed that we'll raise our kids just the same. But, my thirst for the Good News is still not satisfied. I have nothing against the parish priest, but there's this essence and meaning that his sermon is missing out. Until yesterday, an "angel" posted a link of a good read in Facebook. I clicked it, and I was showered with wisdom after reading. And so, I eagerly searched for this another "angel" 's notes and found out more pots of gold! Alas, my thirst was quenched... And I even found wealth!
There were a lot of good writings this second angel had so I will just share one of my fave.
I personally do not know Father Richie, but my hubby said he rings a bell. He said he might be one of the priests from the school he went to in high school but wasn't that sure. I do not know but my heart seldom feels light on somebody. It's just that I guess I found the right vitamin I have to take . I am refreshed. I am enlightened. I am gaining knowledge. And I owe it all to the Lord who perfectly know how I can find Him to be calmed, to rest, and to just spend a moment with Him which I find so hard to find in my busy busy world of mom and a wife.
