Since Friday, I am hooked on watching CNN to be hourly aware of what's going on in Japan. Personally, I am scared. Just thinking that it might happen here in the Philippines and considering that we're just living meters away from the shore makes my knees buckle. My fear goes to my kids. I even do not know how to perfectly swim, so how can I help them survive such tsunami? :( What me makes scared the most is what others relate the disasters the most, The End of Times. I am not ready. Do you think you are?
I watched this link my brother had posted on Facebook and I want it to share with you, guys.
No one can really tell when will this happen. Only with God's mercy, the end of times might be delayed. For sure someday the prophecy's going to unfold since the bible tells us so. But since our God is blessedly and gloriously merciful, He might be delaying it for those people who are diligently and faithfully praying for His mercy. Of course many of us will be scared. Scared of all those things happening and those that are just about to happen. But we should get the message God wants to tell us with all of His warnings - Let us go back in His arms. How? Everyday pray the rosary. Mama Mary gave this advice many of years ago. With her intercession, she'll cover us with her mantle. My dad always tells us to visit the Eucharist in the Church's adoration chapel. He never fails to remind us that the Eucharist overflows with grace just waiting for people to visit, embrace and absorb it. I may not able to go to church everyday, but hubby and I makes sure that we visit the Eucharist whenever possible.
The end of times maybe at hand or not, but one thing's for sure. Let us go back to God's embrace, pray the rosary faithfully, do corporal acts of mercy, be kind, understanding and loving to one another and surrender everything to the Lord so that we could be deserving whenever His kingdom will soon come. I may not be spiritually ready but I want to do the first step of cleaning my heart of all the grudges it has been keeping for decades. From there I can praise the Lord with all of me... body, heart and soul. Sounds hard, but there's nothing impossible in Him. I know He'll assist me. I know He is very willing to help me.
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers,
works, joys and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all my relatives and friends,
and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father.
Amen.
